One of the grandest historic estates in the UK, Tatton Park, is National Trust property and boasts a neoclassical mansion, 50 acres of gardens, a deer park that covers 1,000 acres and a working farm. There is the Tatton Park Old Hall, too, which is believed to be haunted. With shopping and dining facilities as well; its a park worth a visit for a great family day out.

Gauntlet Park
Try bird spotting at the Gauntlet Birds of Prey Eagle and Vulture Park, which is home to more than 120 birds from 46 species. Not only will you see eagles, hawks and falcons, but also caracaras, seriemas and other unusual species. The park runs a wide range meet and greet sessions with the birds and puts on flying and vulture feeding displays.

Dunham Massey
This is a place to head to whatever the season with wildlife, a Georgian house filled with ancient artefacts and a far-reaching history dating back to the empire. The gardens and parklands are extensive, with over 300 acres there’s plenty of places to explore and discover. Wildlife is in abundance with the honeybees, that have been in the gardens for over 10 years, you’ll be able to spot two of the hives in the Rose Garden, to the fallow deer that roam the estate. Looked after by the National Trust.
