Afternoon Tea at Cottons
Created by our experienced pastry chef, our Afternoon Tea is a firm favourite for any celebration, occasion or treat. Served daily in our restaurant, it’s a treasured tradition of delicious and imaginative offerings full of great quality ingredients and tempting regional flavours for a unique twist.
Beautifully presented and served on a tiered cake stand, the artisanal sandwiches that make up the first course of our sumptuous Afternoon Teas include Cheshire ham and beer mustard mayonnaise, Carron Lodge Cheshire cheese with ale chutney, free-range egg mayonnaise with baby watercress and smoked salmon, cucumber & cream cheese, all on freshly baked bread.
But don’t get too carried away with our delicious sandwiches so you leave room for heaven-sent cakes and desserts including Manchester Tart, Weetwood Raspberry Gin marshmallow, Tiramisu Choux au Craquline and a sweet and delicate Macaron. Our freshly baked plain and earl grey scones served with strawberry preserve and Cornish clotted cream are the cherry on top of our beautiful Afternoon Tea offering*.
Our drinks menu includes a rich variety of loose-leaf teas from Taylors of Harrogate, with coffee also available for those who prefer. Why not add a sparkling toast for that extra occasion and sip on a choice of Prosecco or Champagne.
